Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is James Hampton and I am the CEO of the Aaron Brooks Drills and Skills Program. Drills and Skills in partnership with the Aaron Brooks Foundation are working collaboratively with the Community to develop a comprehensive youth development strategy for the youth in underserved communities.
First, I would like to say, we had an amazing 2016 program year. We served over 240 students in our before, in and afterschool programs.
Starting January 3, 2017, we will official start this year’s programs.
The Aaron Brooks Drills and Skills program will be offering its program at the sites and times listed below.

Program Overviews:
Before school (The Rooster Program): At some of our sites students enrolled in the program will participate in our early morning health and fitness before school program. Students will start the morning at 6:00 am, in the gym where they will exercise alongside some of the best trainers in the city. Some of these trainings will take place at area school, community center and or LA Fitness gymnasiums. Students must sign-up as a member of the Drills and Skills program.
After School: students will first participate in a tutoring and homework help session. Next, they will engage in structured activities, consisting of workshops, guest speakers and or discussions on current issues. The purpose of these activities is to develop their intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. The final session of the day allows the participants to develop their physical abilities as well as their leadership skills. We use enriching activities such as basketball to help youth model what they learned in previous sessions. The Drills and Skills program provide real life experiences in a safe and nurturing environment while providing them with the necessary tools to become leaders for life.
If your child will be participating in our afterschool program, please fill-out this 2017 Youth Application and City of Seattle participantauthorizationform e-13 form.
